Mr. Rafael J. Espinoza, Esq., was born in Callao, Peru and immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 years old.  Mr. Espinoza grew up in Queens, New York, where he attended Newtown High School and played in Newtown High School's soccer team from 1995-1997.


Mr. Espinoza attended the State University of New York at New Paltz where he graduated in 2002 with a B.A. in Economics and a Minor in Business Management. Mr. Espinoza graduated with a J.D. (Juris Doctorate) from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center with honors: Magna Cum Laude, Deans List, and received several fellowships and awards.


Mr. Espinoza was a 2009 New York City Minority Bar Fellow and externed at the Bank of New York Mellon, Corporate Trust Department. Mr. Espinoza achieved several other fellowships and awards in law school. Mr. Espinoza was a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Education Access Program (L.E.A.P.) where he asssisted minority law school students to excel in law school.  


Mr. Espinoza worked at a personal injury law firm where he obtained experience in multimillion dollar cases and worked on car accidents, slip and fall, employment related accidents, construction accidents, and criminal law cases.


Mr. Espinoza represents clients facing removal proceedings (deportations) in immigration courts. Mr. Espinoza has appeared in numerous interviews with Univision Noticias and Noticias MundoFox informing the community regarding the problems undocumented immigrants and immigrants face in the United States.  


Mr. Espinoza devotes his free time to working on Immigration Pro Bono cases. That is, he provides free legal representing indigent clients facing deportations.  Mr. Espinoza also enjoys pilates and watching soccer (better known as futbol) and learninig Japanese as a third language.
